How it all began…
What once was a beautiful barn where our family and friends gathered for parties and holidays is now Hickory Ridge Farm and Events! We are thrilled for this new chapter and hope that our venue can bring all of the joy and happiness to you and your family that it has to ours.
Our family…
Rick and Julie Dillon are the owners of the venue and the property. Rick and Julie, along side with son Jacob Hansen and his wife Maddison, and their daughter Brooke and her boyfriend Nash Neptune, and many of their family and friends (named below) have diligently been working on the inner construction of the property since 2014.
Rick is the owner of Atchison Outfitters and spends his free time in the outdoors hunting and riding his motorcycle. Julie has worked in the school system for over 30 years as a teacher and a behaviorist and in her free times likes to travel, craft, spend time with their therapy dogs, Mo and Finn and spend time with her family.
Their son Jacob, received his degree in accounting in 2019 and owns the accounting firm Silver Point Bookkeeping and Coaching. His wife, Maddison received her degree in nursing, also in 2019, and has worked in a variety of different settings including the OR, pediatrics and travel nursing. Maddison also just started a sweet treats and charcuterie business, Mad’s Creations. They like to spend time with their sweet baby girl and their two dogs, Bruce and Daisy.
Their daughter Brooke, received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2017 and owns Alpha Therapy Physical Therapy and Human Performance in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Her boyfriend, Nash, is a firefighter and a paramedic and is currently enrolled in Fayetteville State’s Pre-Med program. Together they enjoy reading, fishing, hunting and spending time with their three dogs, Bear, Moose, and Milo and two cats Tonks and Remy.
